Tomorrow, Saturday February 1, at 8 pm, Queen’s Hall becomes alive with the sights and sounds of “Movement,” presenting Trinidad and Tobago’s top young and talented artists, including the XO Dance Label, D Gift (winners of Digicel Rising Stars), the Eastern Youth Chorale, Xavier Strings and the Birdsong Academy Orchestra.
The Eastern Performing Arts Fraternity production of “Movement, A Celebration of the Evolution of Soca,” is being mounted to raise funds to finance its young artist scholarship fund and its music literary programme for underprivileged children. Patrons who enjoy the beauty of Carnival culture sitting back in a more refined and relaxed atmosphere can expect an evening filled with entertainment ranging from the traditional to the contemporary, to the revolutionary.
