MINISTER of Community Development, Culture and the Arts Dr Nyan Gadsby-Dolly showed her support for the dance community last week Friday, when she attended the opening night of the COCO Dance Festival at Queen‘s Hall, St Ann’s.
Celebrating its tenth edition, the festival is a showcase for some of the best emerging and professional dancers and choreographers the Caribbean has to offer.
Organisers presented the minister with a copy of their commemorative COCO Book of Dance, a limitededition coffee table publication that captures many of the festival’s choreographic and dance highlights from the past nine years.
Sponsored by First Citizens and designed by Tricia Dukhie, the book features photography by the late Jeffrey Chock, Karen Johnstone, Nadine Eversley, Michele Jorsling and Anne Wharton.
Copies will be available at selected bookstores from November 10.
