As Easter approaches each year children, and their parents, impatiently await the presentation by the Crazy Catholic and D C Shell Theatre. The company always delivers a fantastic production that has the children and adults alike laughing throughout; no one gets red in the face because of anything inappropriate. The biggest risk at a play by these folks is a stale joke and even that still draws laughter.
This year’s Easter production by Crazy Catholic (Sheldon Narine) and D C Shell was an adaption of the classic fairy tale, Rapunzel. The production ran from Holy Thursday to Easter Monday with sold out shows each evening giving the company yet another certified hit. The story was tweaked by Narine and his wife, Cindy who reshaped it into a Trini-styled comedy that had audiences in stitches for most of the two-hour-plus play.
