“Sparrow gets $2 million for his work” at Queen’s Hall

Calypso King of the World, the Mighty Sparrow (Dr Slinger Francisco), was presented with a cheque for two million dollars by Minister of Community Development, Culture and the Arts, Dr Nyan Gadsby-Dolly at the Helen May Johnston Room at Queen’s Hall, St Ann’s yesterday.

This was done after he formally signed the Agreement with the Culture Ministry, for a ten-year license for his personal collection of treasures and artefacts which spans his illustrious career.

Permanent Secretary Vidia Ramkelewan signed on the Ministry’s behalf.
